Project Abstract:

On April 25, 2002 the Executive Board of the NYS Association of Tax Receivers & Collectors (www.nysatrc.org) voted on and approved the creation of a Scholarship Committee.  The committee is now headed by Judy Crawford, Mary Lou Clendening and Robert Peters.  We plan on using this site to share plans and progress regarding the committee with all NYSATRC membership.

Initially, the focus of the team will be to research the many legal and administrative issues involved with setting up a scholarship program on behalf of the association and eventually submitting an official plan for review by the Executive Board. 

Key Milestones:

  • Scholarship Committee created by NYSATRC Executive Board - April 25
  • Meeting with NYSTCA Scholarship Committee Chairperson - May 30
  • Additional Committee membership obtained - June 11
  • Resolution to establish Not-for-profit status passes - October 23
